FAQ

1. Who is this class best for?

Artist who want to make and publish a book but aren't sure HOW.

It suits people who have some work in progress and are considering publishing, either through self-publishing or who want to learn how they can approach a publisher.

This is for folks who want practical and actionable information and help enjoying the process of making and publishing a book.

If you're new to publishing and it's a bit overwhelming then this should be great for you. If you know a bit but haven't taken the leap, then this is great for you also.

This suits people who want to learn but don't want to be lectured. There's hands on parts, questions, real talk and no bs.

2. What do participants learn?

Each day is grouped around some key questions. There'll be lots of examples, physical objects, time for questions and a very two-way street approach to learning.

b) What does the process of publishing a book look like?

c) What do I need to know to get started?

d) How can I get started with editing and sequence?

e) How can I get started with design? Should I?

Day 2

a) Dummy making: what and why

b) Should I self-publish or try and get a publisher?

c) What are the costs of publishing? How does the money work?

Each day will have a lunch break and PLENTY of activities, this is not a lecture.
